About Kim
Who is she anyway?
Kim’s childhood in rural America and teaching experiences in the
Appalachian Mountains have inspired a life-long interest in folk
traditions including storytelling, oral histories, music, dance,
wood carving, herbal remedies and beekeeping.
If the truth be known, Kim is interested in most everything except
mud wrestling, team sports and reading technical manuals.
Kim now lives in Austin, Texas with Mark Wieland multi-talented
husband and partner, Rags the Wonder Dog, Makita the fox/dingo dog
look alike, a score of feral chickens, and 80,000 honey bees. Being
a creative collector, Kim resides with 150 instruments, 300 hats,
tons of rocks and plenty of found object “art”.
